it's been so long now i have forgotten how it was like/like all along nothing was right/right from the start, i've never tried/hide them all away, just remain quiet/tired, nobody wants to know/go to find a place so lost/'cause, you see, these people are not like you/few can actually see/be it sweat or tears/years and fears and time/i'm still writing the same old song/long before another coin was tossed/'cause these were all wrong
no more staring no more wondering what's gonna happen if you start smiling 'cause i can't wait for the end when this is all pretend don't smile when you don't mean it there is always a limit do you even know what you said made it stop and drop dead there's so many things you will never get 'cause you're so full of crap
i could tell you stuff that would seem insane but i wouldn't want to shoot myself in the foot again it's pretty obvious there's something that makes me afraid well, it's the consequence that i hate
so what if i told you there are not one side to this but two would the world stop spinning for you but what i meant to say that day was, are you okay
