19/01/11 Was a fun day. I had a blast! It was so good to see her again. And all the funny things we did. We went to check out rock&ash and there was this girl giving out discount flyers outside. Across it was another restaurant and we went to check that out also before making the big life changing decision we will ever make for that afternoon. Haha. Because we couldn't decide, I told her we should ask the girl from the other restaurant: do you think your restaurant or that restaurant is cheaper? So qian bian.Haha! Of course we didn't ask and our final decision was made. Rock&ash. It was not because of the discount flyer -wink wink- I'm serious. :p then comes deciding on what to order. It wasn't easy ( although we didn't have a lot to choose from). We came up with this genius plan. For me, it was a battle between dory fish and mushroom baked rice. For her it was a battle between kao ma ling shu( I insist on saying in mandarin!) or dory fish. So if the kao ma ling shu had beef she would take the dory fish and i would take the baked rice. If the kao ma ling shu doesn't have beef she would take it and i would take the dory fish. So basically it was up to her to see if she will take the kmls so that I will take the dory fish. If not, then she would take dory and i would take baked rice. I just repeated it so that it sounds more complicated than it is. Haha. But still. So genius right? After helped us ordered, she just remembered that she wanted spicy cheese fries too and there was another guy behind us in the queue. So when we are about to return to our seats she went back to the counter again and I saw the guy's face. It was awkward. Haha. I remembered as I dipped my fries into the cheese, I told her: eh this cheese is spicy leh! Then she said: because this is spicy cheese, remember? And I just said a dumb thing, yet again in front of her. We had quite a long lunch, eating and talking and stuff. Then came the bubble tree shop incident. So we just stood there staring at the menu above, I was unable to decide what to order. We stood there for a quite a while, laughing as she imitated the staff's accent (she was there the other time) and saying that the two staff standing behind the counter must be thinking why are these two people standing in front of the store and laughing. While I was deciding, she got to hear the conversation between the two staff. They must be feeling the same way as we did. After a long while, I decided not to buy anything and we left. It was so funny because can you imagine 2 people standing there in front of a store and kept laughing and walk away. We have just earned ourselves the title of weirdos to the 2 of them there. We finally settled at Starbucks to watch the movie '15'. While the videos were loading, we had our fun little beauty pageant event. It was so hilarious and one contestant managed to cling onto the top spot for some time while the other was getting pushed further behind as more contestants came into it. She couldn't believe my expert judgement. So yeah the movie was about the life of ah bengs in Singapore. I will forever remember this particular scene because it was so touching. It was more romantic than titanic. Haha. It was definitely worthy of the AWW SO SWEET moment for me. Haha! It was a nice movie with a lot of hokkien which i don't understand and outbursts of songs in hokkien. 小姐，可以做个朋友吗？不要这样dao leh。为什么你这样dao? These lovely words are said to a dustbin. And random stranger on the steet: eh 你们pon sch ah? 我也是。可以拿你的电话号马吗？2 ah bengs: 好ah. 以后你打给我们我们一起pon. Haha! After the movie we took lots of pictures pretty much the same pose. Her fringe ah, Aiyo. Haha! We also realized our potential to become horror movie actresses. Just look at us with our eyes wide open. Truly horrific. Guarantee to induce puke,nausea or putting one leg in front of the other repeatedly in quick motion in opposite direction. Hahaha. As we were walking back, we passed by bubble tree again. We should go and stand there again. Haha! Thanks soulmate for a wonderful day! :) I really enjoyed it and hope we can do it some time again. :D
